What is apple-based biomaterial?
A plant-based material created from apple-juice industry waste. The recovered powder is used to replace petroleum derivatives (such as PU) with 100% organic industrial waste.
The carbon footprint of polyurethane (foam) is 5.28 kg CO₂ eq/kg PU; by comparison, the recovered waste has zero impact.
As a result, every kg of apple residue used to replace PU saves 5.28 kg of CO₂.
