Here are the instructions that will guarantee the longevity of your two-material products (vegan leather* and rope).

Hand washing recommended :

  • Use lukewarm (not hot) water with a mild soap
  • Gently rub the nylon with a soft brush or sponge to remove ingrained dirt.
  • Wipe the leather part of the apples with a soft cloth
  • Dry the metal parts immediately and thoroughly after cleaning.
  • Hang the leash in the open air, away from direct sunlight (which can slightly discolor it).

Absolutely avoid

  • Do not machine wash
    Bleach or chlorine-based products     : they weaken nylon fibers
  • Direct sunlight drying : causes discoloration and weakens the nylon
  • No tumble dryer
  • Do not iron : the nylon may melt.
  • Do not dry clean : chemical solvents degrade the nylon and the plating

How do I clean a rope leash?

Can a vegan biomaterial collar be machine washed?

No. The apple-based vegan biomaterial is cleaned with a damp cloth and, if needed, mild soap. Let it air dry and dry the metal parts thoroughly.

It depends on the material: the Sully and Bobby coats can be machine washed at 30 °C on a wool or delicate cycle, without fabric softener; the Léonard, Vauban and Barrière coats should be hand washed. Always dry them flat.
