Cleaning leash rope
Here are the guidelines that will guarantee the longevity of your multi-function leash while maintaining its optimal appearance and functionality.
Hand washing recommended :
- Use lukewarm (not hot) water with a mild soap or detergent for delicate fabrics.
- Gently rub the nylon with a soft brush or sponge to remove ingrained dirt.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue
- Wipe the rings and other metal parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth
- Dry the metal parts immediately and thoroughly after cleaning.
- Hang the leash in the open air, away from direct sunlight (which can slightly discolor it).
Machine wash (occasionally only)
If absolutely necessary, you can machine wash the leash, but with caution:
- Use a laundry bag to protect the machine and the leash
- Delicate cycle at 30°C maximum
- No spin or minimal spin
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener
- Remove the leash immediately after the cycle, dry the curls, and hang it to dry.
Absolutely avoid
- Bleach or chlorine-based products : they weaken nylon fibers
- Direct sunlight drying : causes discoloration and weakens the nylon
- Tumble dryer : Excessive heat can deform the nylon and damage the plating
- Ironing : nylon can melt
- Dry cleaning : chemical solvents degrade nylon and plating
